Quarantine And Snack
Quarantine and snack alllll day if you want to because this recipe for frozen yogurt bark is not only healthy but delicious! For super stressed out mamas I included a much needed unhealthy version * this recipe is great for nursing moms too! *
When snack time rolls around, ( which seems like every other hour these days) my little one is usually already foraging through cabinets to find something to eat. When I don’t give him snacks that are ready to eat, then we make them!
Some days I like to get a little more creative with snack time and make a homemade treat. On those days, I stick with recipes that are simple enough for my toddler to make with me. If you want easy, healthy and tasty then you’ll love this recipe for Fruity Frozen Yogurt Bark.
Your kids will love that they get to enjoy the sweet and delicious coolness of frozen yogurt, and the best part is, I secretly know they are eating a snack that's healthy! Mix up a batch of these earlier in the day or store it in freezer bags to eat during the week.
What You'll Need:
* Yogurt any kind you like!
Side note for a less healthier version - I actually used vanilla ice cream instead (highly suggest it) 😉
* fresh fruit
* toppings: granola, slivered almonds, coconut, the list goes on...
* baking tray
* parchment paper
* spatula
If you’re super stressed out , toppings to put are as follows:
1. Oreos,
2. Heath crunch
3. Fudge/caramel swirls
4. Brownie bites
5. Chocolate covered pretzel pieces
6. Peppermint bark
For a wow effect I will sometimes layer graham crackers first and then spread the ice cream/yogurt on top
Directions:
1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Mix in plain yogurt with honey/maple syrup to desired taste.
3. Spread a thick, even layer of yogurt on the lined baking tray.
4. Sprinkle chopped fruit and any additional toppings like granola or shredded coconut over the yogurt layer.
5. Place the pan in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
6. Remove from freezer. Break the sheet of frozen yogurt into smaller pieces.
7. Serve and enjoy!
Yes, that’s it!!
