Rebekah's story
The day Rebekah gave birth to her son was the day she experienced the purest form of giving and unconditional love. The euphoric high of bringing a life into the world was unlike anything she had ever felt — something she knew she would cherish forever. The physical and emotional recovery… not so much.
Sent home after 33 stitches and a two-day hospital stay, Rebekah lay in bed overwhelmed with emotion. How was she supposed to care for a newborn 24/7 when she could barely get up to use the bathroom - let alone climb three flights of stairs in her home?Right then, as if connected by a sixth sense, her close friend called and asked how she was really feeling.
Rebekah didn’t sugarcoat it: “The pain is unbearable.”
Within minutes, her friend appeared like Mary Poppins, her bag filled with soothing witch hazel pads, ice packs, nipple cream, protein bars, candles, lavender oil and of course, a big pot of chicken soup. She dimmed the lights, put on spa music, massaged Rebekah’s shoulders and even her toes until she finally drifted to sleep. When Rebekah woke, she felt transformed - cared for, comforted, seen. And that’s when it hit her: Every mother deserves this. Every new mom deserves to heal, to feel appreciated, and to be truly celebrated.
It’s a Mom was born from that moment - from the belief that when a baby is born, a mother is born too.
As Rebekah researched and curated her boxes, she discovered something shocking: many everyday pregnancy and postpartum products were packed with chemicals that could harm mothers and their babies. Her mission became crystal clear - to find the purest, safest, cleanest products possible. Paraben-free. Organic. The kind you would trust on your own newborn.
It’s a Mom exists to support mothers physically, spiritually, and emotionally - so they can simply be present in the moments that matter most. The here. The now. The beautiful beginning of motherhood.
Rebekah graduated with a BA in Marketing and Graphic design. One of her most inspirational jobs she had was working on a campaign with Dr. Arletty Pinel on maternal health and infant mortality with the UNFPA.
